Most graduate programs report the average GRE scores of their accepted students, and it is vital that prospective graduate students learn as much as possible about the GRE standards of their preferred degree programs. It is common for average GRE performance to vary widely within university divisions, schools, and even departments. Many of the non-MD programs at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, for example, require the submission of GRE scores. Applicants accepted to this school's health sciences integrated PhD program averaged GRE scores in the 75th percentile for both verbal and quantitative (approximately 157 verbal and 160 quantitative). Mean GRE scores for admitted students in Feinberg's physical therapy & human movement sciences program were somewhat lower, at about 154 verbal and 155 quantitative. We advise all of our clients to aim for scores that are above institutional averages on all GRE sections, which will give optimal chances of acceptance. With the help of Manhattan Review's professional GRE teachers and proven GRE learning plans, Warsaw students can reach optimistic score goals that produce competitive graduate school applications.

Meet a Warsaw GRE Tutor: Pauline D.
Pauline D. is a native of Dublin, Ireland who has been teaching GRE prep for the past nine years. She is highly experienced in teaching all types of GRE learning plans, including online and on-site formats as well as group classroom and individual learning contexts. She joined our Warsaw team of GRE educators in 2015 after a career as a GRE instructor and high school teacher in the United States.
Pauline holds bachelor's and master's degrees in education from Ohio State University and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, respectively. Her high standardized test scores (on the SAT and GRE) helped partially fund her undergraduate and graduate education, and she finds that helping others do the same is one of the most rewarding aspects of her GRE instruction. "Teaching students how to receive GRE scores that qualify for merit scholarships is a great way to increase access to education, and I'm very proud to play a part in that," she says.
